Eclectic design – combination of interior styles

Posted by

Eclectic style is a combination of styles in order to design an environment, which would have a great look, artistic taste, and a specific connective element, which would make the whole design look as one piece of work.

Of course, a lot of efforts, thoughts, and creativity is necessary in order to make the project in eclectic style look great and at the same time logically interconnected. There is a couple of features, such as furniture, color, fabric and finish, which can make eclectic style as one amazing and completed piece of art. This art gave the world many examples of creating something extraordinary yet equally appealing to the eye of an artist and just to a passerby.

Decorating a room in eclectic style does not mean that the connection, which brings the harmony to the whole design, should make the look of such room boring. The harmony of colors is dissolved by the elements of furniture and vice versa, creating an attractive look to the room. An eclectic style does not harmonize different elements, taken from the variety of other styles, into one boring creation, but it rather brings into life one interesting and appealing piece of art out of that.

Therefore, eclectic style is like a “pot” that includes many different elements from the variety of styles that have exactly different beginning and appeared in the different period within the history. However, all of that bunch of elements, brought into one “melting pot” give a birth to a new, quite interesting, and worth to talk about style.

The furniture is an important element that gives a frame for the eclectic piece of art if we speak about interior design and then color, fabric and finish fill it up and make it one creative stylish work. The combination of all those different elements carries piece of knowledge, thought and creativity; therefore, it brings an amazing look to the designed in this style environment.
